About Solomon Scientific

Solomon Scientific is a technology and thought leader in the preclinical vascular access devices and infusion pump systems it develops, manufactures, and distributes.

Founded in 1998 in the U.S., Solomon Scientific’s first product lines comprised implanted access ports, CBAS® heparin coated catheters, and the Pegasus® ambulatory infusion pump.  Since 1999, the company and Instech Laboratories have partnered to market complementary products together worldwide through Instech Solomon.  This combination has created a team with unparalleled expertise in preclinical infusion research.

Now Solomon Scientific is known for its innovations in the field of automated infusion.  The Orchesta™ infusion system brings together large wireless networks, infusion pumps, and software to automate Toxicology studies and Safety Pharmacology studies.  These systems are validated for GLP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compatibility.

Solomon Scientific sets the innovation pace in its markets. It has originated many firsts:

(1) heparin-coated catheter (CBAS®)
(2) co-extruded tubing (CoEx™)
(3) ports to retain Huber needles (PortHold™)
(4) low-volume top entry ports (LoVol™)
(5) miniature top entry port for mice (SoloPort™ MICRO)
(6) a funneled catheter for mice (FunnelCath™)
(7) automated wireless infusion pump systems (Orchesta™)
